The Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin Mary

The Little Crown of the Blessed Virgin Mary
By St. Louis Mary De Montfort
Preface
St. Louis De Montfort, universally known for his True Devotion to Mary, embellished the Little Crown by adding to each Hail Mary a distinctive invocation in praise of the Blessed Virgin's excellence, power, and goodness, ending with the joyful strain, "Rejoice, O Virgin Mary! Rejoice a thousand times!"
St. De Montfort gave the Little Crown as a morning prayer to both his religious families, the Montfort Fathers and the Daughter of Wisdom. He heartily recommends it to all who embrace the holy and loving slavery to Jesus through Mary. Thus the world over, from the lips of Mary's favorite children the Little Crown rises like fragrant incense to our Blessed Mother's throne in Heaven and returns to earth in showers of Divine benediction. Since the Blessed Virgin is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit, St. Louis prefaces the Little Crown with an invocation to the Holy Spirit.

Prayer

Before daily Rosary

O COME, HOLY SPIRIT, fill the hearts of your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael

Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle;
be our defense against
the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him,
We humbly pray;
and do thou,
O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the power of God,
 thrust into hell,
satan and all the
evil spirits who prowl
about the world seeking
the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Caritas' 911 Prayer

The Queen of Peace of Medjugorje has told us in situations of immediate and urgent need, She will be with us. She encourages us to call upon Her. Our Lady said on March 4, 1982:
“…I am at your side and guard you. If you have any problems, whatever it be, call me. I will come immediately and help you in advising you on best resolving the difficulty…”

A 911 call receives immediate help, but 911 also now stands for the crisis of September 11, 2001, or 9/11. A 911 crisis in one’s life should not only be handled by reacting to the physical aspect associated with the crisis, but met with a spiritual response as well. Because Our Lady also has said on July 21, 1982:
“…Through fasting and prayer, one can stop wars, one can suspend the laws of nature…”

Therefore, we know any crisis whatsoever must submit to change, even against all odds, when granted by God through prayer. For immediately needed graces and urgent needs, the Caritas Community has used and adopted a special 911 prayer response:
9 Pray 9 times the Memorare

1 Pray 1 Rosary

1 Pray 1 Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Pray the Caritas 911 prayer in the following way:
  • State your needs or petitions.
  • 9 times pray the Memorare.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
That never was it known
That anyone who fled to Thy protection
Implored Thy help
Or sought Thy intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto Thee
O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To Thee I come, before Thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
But in Thy mercy hear and answer me.
Amen.
  • 1 time pray the Rosary
  • 1 time pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy
  • End by praying the following prayer 3 times:
O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in you.

updates from Medjugorje daily

Be it problems of health, marriage, family, depression, vice, financial, satanic activities, or infestations etc., grace can bring an alleviation, or place you at peace with the circumstances, or a complete answered miracle. Pray 911 for an immediate grace.
DID YOU KNOW: Nine completes a novena. The first 9-day novena was by Mary and Christ’s apostles and disciples. After 9 days of praying in the Upper Room, they received the Holy Spirit. Since that time, Christians have prayed in numbers of 9, called novenas, to receive answers to prayers, as the first novena was to receive the Holy Spirit.
SUGGESTION: Also pray for 9 days 911, making it a novena within a novena. Fast on bread and water for 9 days, in union each day with the 911 prayer, for a profoundly potent prayer.

THOUGHT: In regard to some aspects of satanic activity, oppression, interference, or domination, Christ said, these can only be removed by fasting and prayer.

Fact: You cannot change any circumstance by forced prayer; for it is God who does it, through your prayer, when prayed with the heart. What is praying with the heart? Scan your whole life. Think of your most heartfelt conversation with someone you have really pleaded with. Pray that same way, talking to God, for prayer is only heartfelt conversation with God.

By no means are we intending to pre-empt the Church on the validity of the Apparitions. They are private revelation awaiting the Church’s judgment. Because the Queen of Peace Apparitions are ongoing and not yet over, the Church has yet to rule on their authenticity. Caritas of Birmingham, the Community of Caritas, and all associated with them, realize and accept that the final authority regarding the Queen of Peace Medjugorje Apparitions rests with the Holy See in Rome. We at Caritas willingly submit to that judgment. Caritas of Birmingham, the Community of Caritas and its mission are not connected to the Diocese of Birmingham, Alabama. The Diocese of Birmingham’s official position on Caritas is neutral and holds us as Catholics in good standing.

Words from Our Lady, Pope John Paul II, and St. Louis Marie de Montfort

Words from Our Lady, Pope John Paul II, and St. Louis Marie de Montfort

Our Lady of Medjugorje is teaching us many things about the spiritual life, essential elements of belonging to God. Our Lady said on October 25, 1988:
“Dear children, my call that you live the messages which I am giving you is a daily one, especially, little children, because I want to draw you closer to the Heart of Jesus. Therefore, little children, I am calling you today to the prayer of Consecration to Jesus, my dear Son, so that each of your hearts may be His. And then I am calling you to Consecration to my Immaculate Heart. I want you to consecrate yourselves as individuals, families, and parishes so that all belongs to God through my hands. Therefore, dear little children, pray that you may comprehend the greatness of this message which I am giving you. I do not want anything for myself, rather, all for the salvation of your souls. satan is strong and, therefore, you, little children, by constant prayer press tightly to my Motherly heart. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

Bl. Pope John Paul II said:
“At first he thought he should distance himself from the Marian devotion of his childhood to focus more on Christ. But after reading St. Louis de Montfort’s True Devotion (Consecration) to Mary, he saw that the truest path to Christ was certainly through Mary.”

St. Louis de Montfort: (speaking on what perfect consecration to Jesus through Mary consists of)
“Chosen soul, this devotion consists in surrendering oneself in the manner of a slave to Mary, and to Jesus through Her, and then performing all our actions with Mary, in Mary, through Mary, and for Mary. Let me explain this statement further.

“We should choose a special feast day on which to give ourselves. Then, willingly and lovingly and under no constraint, we consecrate and sacrifice to Her unreservedly our body and soul. We give to Her our material possessions, such as house, family, income, and even the inner possessions of our soul, namely, our merits, graces, virtues, and atonements.

“Notice that in this devotion we sacrifice to Jesus through Mary all that is most dear to us, that is, the right to dispose of ourselves, of the value of our prayers, and alms, of our acts of self-denial and atonements. This is a sacrifice which no religious order would require of its members. We leave everything to the free disposal of Our Lady, for Her to use as She wills for the greater glory of God, of which She alone is perfectly aware.

“We leave to Her the right to dispose of all the satisfactory and prayer value of our good deeds, so that, after having done so and without going so far as making a vow, we cease to be master over any good we do. Our Lady may use our good deeds either to bring relief or deliverance to a soul in purgatory, or perhaps to bring a change of heart to a poor sinner.

“By this devotion we place our merits in the hands of Our Lady, but only that She may preserve, increase and embellish them, since merit for increase of grace and glory cannot be handed over to any other person. But we give to Her all our prayers and good works, inasmuch as they have intercessory and atonement value, for Her to distribute and apply to whom She pleases. If, after having thus consecrated ourselves to Our Lady, we wish to help a soul in Purgatory, rescue a sinner, or assist a friend by a prayer, an alms, an act of self-denial or an act of self-sacrifice, we must humbly request it of Our Lady, abiding always by Her decision, which of course remains unknown to us. We can be fully convinced that the value of our actions, being dispensed by that same hand which God Himself uses to distribute His Gifts and grace to us, cannot fail to be applied for His greatest glory. When you want to offer something to God, to be welcomed by Him, be sure to offer it through the worthy Mother of God, if you do not wish to see it rejected.”
